Before the fall We had our time I bought the whisky You bought the wine Before the fall We lived like men Seen the world And back again Before the fall We answered every bell But as time goes by It's all before the fall Before the fall I seen heavens gate Turned around man That's not my fate Before the fall We took a bite Walked through the grave yard Late at night Before the fall I had a mate Never showed myself Till 2 hours late Before the fall I could hypnotize Shrink the world Down to size

I did my time And I grew old Though my punishment Never fit the crime I had what I had And I did what I was told And I made that mess into wine Jailhouse wine Life is hard And it's harder for some But a dreamers heart will never die I made my mistakes And my blue sky's all turned gray But I squeezed those clouds into wine Jailhouse wine Well now I'm bent And I'm old Once I was solid straight and cold Not unlike these bars And I would if I could I would waste my life away And stay drunk all the time on Jailhouse wine

On PCH Again 03:29
I see you comin' around the corner I see you sneakin' 'round the bend Just a ghost in my mirror My old friend again Is that you Ya' it's me I just got to ask you What will it be Day drinking in a roadhouse Before the band Day drinking in a roadhouse On PCH again I know you're peepin' through the window I feel you linger in the room (I see you creepin' down the hall) Then you sidle up beside me Like unwanted stale perfume (like some no good so-n-so) Is that you Ya' it's me I just got to ask you What will it be Day drinking in a roadhouse Before the band Day drinking in the roadhouse On PCH again Day drinking in a roadhouse Before the band Day drinking in a roadhouse On PCH again On PCH again On PCH again

I got a bullfrog I got a chainsaw I got a Harley hog And contempt for the law But I ain't got you Oh I ain't got you I got all that ever mattered And every dream comes true But I ain't got you I got a barrel Full of fishes Ducks in every stream I've lived a man's life And I never never looked back But I don't got you No I don't got you I've got all the tea in China And all their money too But I don't got you I got ghosts In the attic Wishes in the well And everyone I talk to Knows just how I feel That I don't have you Oh I ain't got you I got blinds On my windows To hide the way I feel Cause I ain't got you
5.
Send me some money Send me a ring Send me some flowers That bloom in the spring Send me some pages From your book But send it to me soon Send me a memory Send me a crate Full of stories That I can replay Send me a riddle That I can unwind But send it to me soon Send me your picture From deep in the pines Send me some canvas To hide my mind Send me a mystery By the light of the moon But send it to me soon
6.
Color me blue Color me green Color me rainbow of uncertainty Color me a picture And paint my house Color me a prison with no way out But just tell me Tell me what you want me to be Watch your step Watch the road Tell me someplace that you'll never go Color me a compass Without of course Tell me a secret with remorse But just tell me Tell me what you want me to be Color me a preacher Color me a thing Build me a statute to antiquity Color me a reptile That skids on the sand Make me a potion 'cause I'm your man Then just tell me Tell me what you want me to be

If you go to bed hungry And you dream about food You're ganna wake up hungry And that's what the'll know about you That's what they'll know about you And there won't be any mystery about you baby If you go to bed mean And dream about being cruel You're ganna wake up so mean And that's what the'll know about you That's what they'll know about you And there won't be no mystery about you baby But it you go to bed happy And everything is cool You're ganna wake up happy And that's what the'll know about you That's what they'll know about you And there won't be no wondering about it baby

On My Side 04:09
I wake up every morning Toothpaste in my hand To make a million dollars Just enough to be a man Then I'm headed back to Jackson People there are on my side I got one eye on my money And the other on my bride Here problems don't just pileup They puddle up like rain And it's just like when the movies say You can't go home again But I'm headed back to Jackson People there are on my side I'll be rollin' with the river Can't take no more poolside Now I wake up every morning Breakfast in my bed I made that million dollars And it cooled my fevered head Now I living in deep in Jackson People here are on my side And I'm walking through a meadow My dog Cash by my side

Young and pretty, bold and free And never never doing what you're told That's all right, That's OK I'm your brother I'm your father I'm your friend anyway Young and pretty, Bold and free And never never doing what you're told Miles to go before you sleep Fire and ice are the friends you keep That's alright, that's OK I'm your brother I'm your father I'm your friend anyway Young and pretty, Bold and free Miles to go before you sleep And never never doing what you're told

Crazy 05:59
You say you love me baby But you treat me like a child You say you love me baby But you treat me like a child I can take crazy But I wont take it for a while You say you see me baby Like a bird out on a line You say you see me baby Like a bird out on a line Well I can take crazy But I can't take it all the time Well you can be mad if you want to And drive the train right off the track Well you can be mad if you want to And drive the train right off the track Cause I can take crazy But I’d be crazy to take you back

I bought my first record And I put it on the stack Put the needle in the groove And I never looked back Just one revolution One time spinning ‘round It took one revolution to make my world go ‘round Bukka White played for Bob Dylan And Dylan changed the world I loved my Jimmy Reed Like Jimmy Reed Loved his girl Just one revolution One time turned ‘round It took one revolution to make the world go ‘round You can talk all day About the Beatles and the Stones But if you lift up that rock Muddy Waters stands alone Just one revolution One time spinning ‘round It took one revolution to make the world go ‘round

I asked my Mama Which way the wind dose blow She said baby that’s something You should know The wind blows east And the wind blows from the west What I want to know Is which way the wind blows best I asked my Mama Which way the river bends She said away And back again I asked my Mama Which way the river bends But what I want to know Is will the river ever end I asked my Baby Which way the screw dose turn She says that’s something every little girl must learn Some days it turns left And somedays it turns to the right But what I want to know Is will that screw turn tonight

about

Once in a generation comes an album of such clarity, truth and honesty. Imagine, all of this and still just $7.00. It kind of makes you glad to be alive. It does make you wonder though, does the artist still not give a shit?...we may never know, but the answer may lie within.
